How many directors are needed to register a company?
At least one director who resides in Singapore. Singapore-resident and foreign-resident persons can be directors of a Singapore Company as long as there is one director who residing in Singapore.

What are the requirements for being a Director?
- Is a natural person of sound mind over 18 years of age (i.e. corporations cannot be a director)

Timeline for incorporating a company in Singapore
The application is usually processed within 15 minutes after the name application fee is paid.
It may take between 14 days to 2 months if the application needs to be referred to another agency for approval or review. For example, if the intention of the branch of a foreign company is to carry out activities involving the setting up of a private school, the application will be referred to the Ministry of Education. What should I do to open a business bank account after incorporation?

How frequent of a company to lodge its annual return to the Companies Commission of Malaysia?
Sec 68 of the Companies Act 2016 requires the directors to lodge the annual return of a company for each calendar year not later than 30 days from the anniversary of its incorporation date.

Must a company lodge its financial statements to the Companies Commission of Malaysia?
Sec 248 of the Companies Act 2016 requires the directors to prepare financial statements within 18 months from the date of incorporation and subsequently within 6 months of the financial year end.

What are the tax compliance obligation of a Company?

Once you submit your incorporation form and made the payment, the amount paid is strictly non-refundable. If your company has been registered with SSM, you will need to prepare further cost to strike-off/deregister with SSM.

Can I cancel my contract with Altomate and transfer to other company secretary?
As you enjoy the incorporation at a discounted price of RM999 (instead of usual price RM1,599), you are required to sign up for 2 years contract for company secretarial package with us. In the event if you wish to terminate the contract earlier and transfer to other company secretary, you are required to pay termination charge of RM1,000 for early termination.
